1 Wedding + 2 Funerals within 1 week

Last Saturday is the wedding of 三太子 and 七格格. They got married in the Emerald Kingdom before they move to take over another Kingdom so that Empress Dowager Pearl and the Emperor II can witness their wedding. They are already engaged for awhile. Their wedding is a much expected grand affair. 七格格 is given the title of 三太子妃。

Sadly, shortly after their marriage, the Emperor II seemed to have finish his chores in this world and left quietly. It shocked the Kingdom because no one sense anything wrong with His Majesty. The Emperor II will be fondly remembered as the King who loves to turn anti-clockwise with rabbit-looking face. Also around the same time, the 6th Prince also passed away. Reasons unknown.

The deaths of these 2 royal members is a setback in growing the Royal Family population.

Empress Dowager Pearl and 大公主 are very sad over the death of the 6th Prince as they have plans to pair him with a princess from a nearby kingdom. Unfortunately, Prince of Gallant and 太子妃 are unable to produce any heirs for the Emerald Throne. Empress Dowager Pearl is now looking into this matter.

Her Majesty has ordered a decree that Prince of Gallant is now the third Emperor of the Emerald Throne and gave him the title King of Gallant and his wife, Queen of Gallant. 大公主, as the mother of the Emperor III, is now 皇太后, the Queen Mother of Emerald Kingdom. Empress Dowager Pearl is 太皇太后.

As the Palace Steward, I have clearly neglected my duties to take care the Royal Family. I have been spending so much time on my part-time job, I have not attend to any of the Royal Members for days. The Royal Family suffers because of my selfish reasons and negligence. I promise to take good care of the Royal Members after Empress Dowager Marble passed away. I am ashamed that I fail in my duties once again. Empress Dowager Pearl is deciding my punishment.

Empress Dowager Marble Returns to Heaven

Empress Dowager Marble passed away today. The whole Emerald Kingdom mourns the loss of a great leader. All her life she had always been stern yet kind and benevolent. Her sisterly love with Empress Dowager Pearl has been a living example of how siblings should be. She has been unique in her own ways, differentiating herself from her parents whose influence affect the Kingdom even till today. Hence she had successfully reshaped the Kingdom to fit in modern times.

During the days of her illness, she has been strong and uphold the dignity of the Emerald throne. She never once complain or fail in her duties. She serve and gave all she had until she breathe her last. The Kingdom salutes her selfless spirit.

For the past few days, she seemed to be well and recovering. When I visited her at the Emerald Palace yesterday she even played on the wheel with Empress Dowager Pearl. 回光返照 did cross my mind but I chose to see that she is recovering well. Now I realise her 苦心, she did not want me to worry. She want me to go off for my part-time work in a peace of mind. However this ungrateful me spend so much time on this part-time work today that I totally neglected her. When I returned, she had already passed away lying neatly in the food tray. She did not want to mess up the remaining areas of the Palace. She was so considerate even till the end.

老臣真的十分痛心，没能陪太后娘娘走完人生的最一段。老佛爷及两位太后都对老臣有恩，由始至终都很信任和爱护老臣。老臣如今却因为一点事而晚了一步，有愧与老佛爷及两位太后的恩宠，老臣有罪。老臣今后必定竭尽所能为皇室后裔效劳，以报答老佛爷及两位太后的大恩大德。

Empress Dowager Marble's illness deteriorates ...

Unfortunately, Her Majesty's tumor is diagnosed to be malignant. Her condition quickly worsens. However she has a strong will to live. Everyday she has been struggling in pain but she never gives up. It has been 2 weeks. All members of the Family are very concerned about her condition. I have been monitoring her health very closely.

It is hurting to see her suffering but her strong will to live moved me. No matter how tough it is, she never thought of giving up. Her Majesty has my utmost respect. In my eyes, her spirit is equivalent to her parents, the late Emperor and 老佛爷。

Empress Dowager Pearl block all media from the Emerald Palace. It is understandable because she has to uphold her sister's reputation and image to the Kingdom. Empress Dowager Marble is very skinny and worn out now. However she insisted on doing her rounds in the Palace. She has been eating and drinking as usual. She never once complained about her pain.

I hope she recovers although chances are bleak.

2nd Birthday of Their Majesties, Empress Dowager Pearl and Empress Dowager Marble

On the 9th October, Their Majesties celebrated their 2nd 大寿 with joyous events taking place for the next one month.

However, Empress Dowager Marble has been found with a tumor shortly after her 2nd birthday. Her appearances in public is reduced so that she can have ample rest. Medical reports will be out in a couple of weeks time to show whether the tumor is malignant or benign.

Though Empress Dowager Marble is ill, she still groom herself well and attend all events.

I hope Her Majesty recover soon. She has already reach her 2nd year, her chances of living is greatly reduced. Long Live the Empress Dowagers.

The 6th prince has recovered from his injuries. He has also learnt how to be independent after leaving both his brothers. He has since become more mature. I would say his injury is a blessing in disguise.

Farewell, Prince of Valor

After attending the wedding of his beloved brother, Prince of Valor is ready to leave the Emerald Kingdom. A childless distant relative of the Royal Family is looking for an heir to ascend his throne. Being the 2nd eldest after Prince of Gallant, Prince of Valor became the chosen one. The 6th Prince was supposed to follow along as his advisor but he sustained gruesome injuries from some freak accident. Thus his migration is postponed indefinitely.

Everyone in the Royal Family send their well wishes and hope His Highness will one day become a successful ruler in a prosperous Kingdom. Their Majesties were delighted that Prince of Valor finally had the chance to prove himself.

There are also rumours that 三太子 and 七格格 were chosen to ascend the throne of another Kingdom. If this news is true, the Emperor II will not have his son to ascend his throne. Besides, his son has little chance compared to Prince of Gallant. Thus this may be a good news for the Emperor II family. The Emperor II may also look at the bright side that his daughter, 太子妃 will probably be the Empress of the Emerald Kingdom in near future.

Members in the Royal Family are slowly decreasing again. This may mean lesser work for me, the Palace Steward. However, it will mean a quieter and less eventful Kingdom too. Today, I not only send Prince of Valor to his new Kingdom but also send a friend to a bright future. The one staying is always envious of the one leaving, not realising how fortunate it is for one to stay.

The Grand Wedding ... of Prince of Gallent and 四格格

With the support and well wishes from the Empress Dowagers, 大太子, Prince of Gallant and 四格格 got married today. Rejoice to all and celebrations are arranged to hold for 1 month until the birthday celebrations of the Empress Dowagers in October. From today onwards, 四格格 is given the title of 太子妃.

Being the most popular prince among the 4 princes, it is reported that this wedding allows Prince of Gallant to secure higher chances of being name the Crown Prince. Should this Royal Couple produce the 5th generation before 三太子 and 七格格 get married and have children, Prince of Gallant will be officially named the Crown Prince, next in line after the Emperor II. Their Majesties are actually in favour of this because of his contributions, strong leadership and upright character. As the Palace Steward, I know that Their Majesties make the final decisions regarding the next heir. The Emperor II do not have much say even though he has been trying very hard to make his son the successor.

As a present to the latest Royal couple, Their Majesties gave them a new home, the Crystal Palace, 水晶宫. Sparkling at every corners, the Crystal Palace is the latest extension to the Palace. As colourful as the Gem Palace, it has the best interior design compared to the rest of the Palace.

Emperor II and 大公主 one-year-old birthday celebrations

Time flies, the Emperor II and 大公主 are already one year old. It is a pity that both their spouses have passed away. Nevertheless, the Palace hold a nation-wide celebrations for a month.

The media has been reporting that she has grown fatter. Therefore she needs to keep in shape. However, as the Palace Steward, I find nothing wrong with her. In fact she looks healthy and beautiful, unlike their Majesties, the Empress Dowagers and other Princesses who looks rather skinny. In 3 months time, Their Majesties, the Empress Dowagers of the Emerald Palace will be celebrating their 2 year old birthday. A greater celebration will be held and preparations are well in the way. I have found a part-time job so my work has increase tremendously amidst all these celebrations and my new part-time. However I will make sure that the celebrations are well-prepared and enjoy by all. After all Their Majesties are my 主子 and I have been taking care of them ever since they are born. 主子们的两岁大寿一定要搞得热热闹闹、气氛非凡，才配的上两位太后的身份，老臣对老佛爷也算有个交待。

Her Majesty, Empress Dowager Pearl ... Notice her droopy eyes? A sign of old age. I miss the days when she is cute, pretty, young and cuddly. I hope Their Majesties live a ripe old age.

Prince of Valor is catching media's attention too. For the wrong reasons ...

Prince of Gallant is now the media's favourite after 三太子。His every action is being monitored. He simply looks great from every angle.

三太子, being the only son of the Emperor II, is often rumored to be the next Crown Prince. Paparazzi follows him everywhere. Prince of Gallant's supporters are waiting to see him make blunders to lessen his chance of being the next heir. Seen here is 四格格, the prospective wife of either Prince of Gallant, Prince of Valor or the 6th Prince. Tough decision for Her Majesties to pair her up with either of the Princes. However most said that Prince of Gallant and Prince of Valor stand higher chance as they are older and mature enough to tame the bad-tempered 四格格.

Palace of Gems has to be stored with extra amount of water and water levels are always actively monitored to satisfy His Majesty's drinking appetite. However the Emperor II is growing thinner and thinner. Now his size is smaller than 三太子。Media spreads that the Emperor II is ill, thus the next Crown Prince will be announced soon. For months, this has been the hottest topic in town and draggy like Korean dramas. However serious issue like this ought to be carefully planned. I am sure Their Majesties will give everyone an answer when the time is ripe.

Peaceful times for the Royal Family ... Finally

Things has been going well for the Royal Family except for the little problem I created earlier on. In about 4 months time the Empress Dowagers will be celebrating their 2 years old 大寿. I have noted that they have aged over the years. They become thinner and less active. However, they remained pink in health and clear-minded.

The Emperor II and 大公主 will be celebrating their 1 year old birthday next month. Time flies. It seems just yesterday when they first arrive in the Palace. Both their spouses have also passed away. Some things to clarify regarding this 3rd generation. The Crown Prince (deceased), Crown Princess (now 大公主) and 白亲王 (now Emperor II) were thought to suffer from a strange disease when their fur turn white last December to around February before changing again. It appears that it is their unique ability to change to a white coat during winter months. For camouflage purposes. After so many years as a Palace Steward, this is the first time Royal Family members display such ability. Pardon my ignorance.

The remaining 5 descendents of the Royal Family who make up the 4th generation are happily learning to rule the country and preparing themselves to take over the Throne. There are rumors that the Empress Dowagers favoured Prince of Gallant and the 三太子 to be the Crown Prince. However Prince of Gallant has been heavily involved in fighting wars. It is highly possible that he will die in battlefield. Prince of Gallant is a popular choice among in the country for his bravery and contributions while 三太子 is the only son of the Emperor II. Thus I feel that both have equal chances. Rumors are rumors, the Empress Dowagers declined to comment.

四格格 is not trapped. She loves to sleep on the roof like Snoopy with her legs dangling out. Perhaps it is cooler up there. Given her bad-temper, this probably cools her down. She has improved a lot ever since. Sleeping Princes ... 6th Prince in the house, Prince of Gallant under the house and Prince of Valor in front.

Palace Steward looking for job?

"Yes, I must admit. I am looking for another job but it is just a part-time job.
No, the Royal Family paid me well. Just that I need more money for the debts I have accummulated through the years. I will still be the Palace Steward. However it is difficult to find something that fits my schedule, I may not be able to find one afterall. Thank you for the media's concern. Please do not blow this matter up and alarm the Royal Family."

This is the statement I made to the press after the Empress Dowagers wanted me to clarify with the media earlier on. I am very sorry that such small matters of a lowly employee has made headlines and bothered my Masters.

Changes to the Palace floor plan

To avoid speculation regarding the next Crown Prince, 七格格 will move to stay in the East Hall while 大公主 will stay in the West Hall next week. This will ensure 七格格's safety and yet allow them to live under one roof so as to avoid rumors that 三皇子 is the next Crown Prince. 四格格 will most probably be moving to the Sky Manor. As for the Emperor II and 三皇子, they will be moving into a new extension of the Palace after it is completed within the next one week. The new extension is named as 彩石殿 (The Palace of Gems), build specially for the Emperor II. 顾名思义，彩石殿五颜六色、富丽堂皇，称得上是大殿里装潢最华丽，设计最先进的建筑物，只有皇上和他唯一的儿子才能住在彩石殿。

Now each family has their distinct area in the Palace. The Empress Dowagers' residence, the Emperor's residence and 大公主's residence.

Unpredictable life?

五格格 passed away last week and the Empress of Grace passed away today. It is a sad week of the Royal Family. My fault again. 四格格 and五格格 were on bad terms for sometime before 五格格 passed away. The Empress wanted to find out what happen after 五格格 died. She too died after a very short visit at 四格格’s place. I should not have let the Empress go to 四格格’s residence before I find out what exactly happen. My fault.

Upon hearing the news, Their Majesties were furious at my arrangements. Since 大公主 and 七格格 are not at good terms also, they decided to betroth 七格格 to 三阿哥 so that she will move to the Cloud Manor to stay instead of staying with 大公主. I immediately carried out their orders. Both the Emperor and 三阿哥 were pleased at the news.

The Prince of Gallant, Prince of Valor and 六阿哥 have always been vying for the position of the next crown prince. The betroth of 七格格 to 三阿哥 is a bad news for them since the position of Crown Prince has always been given to the one who have children first. The 3 Princes may appear to be on good terms in front of the media but at their own residence, fights and squabbles are common. However, as the Palace Steward, I believe Their Majesties just want to move七格格 to safety. As 大阿哥，Prince of Gallant stands a good chance. Besides, he has the qualities and support from the public. Ultimately, the final decision still lies with Their Majesties.

Royal restructuring completed

The Royal Family has been lying low after a series of happenings. Some restructuring has been going on internally and now their Majesties are ready to announce them.

Firstly, the expansion of the Palace is completed and the floor plan is publicised. The latest arrangement of where each member of the Royal Family stays is also confirmed. As usual the highest sovereignty of the Emerald Throne will stay in the Emerald Palace. 大公主 stays in the Sky Manor with her daughter and her 3 sons in the Opal Palace. 白亲王, Concubine of Grace, their son and 2 daughters stay in the Halls and Cloud Manor. The Royal Garden nearby is completed with a stream flowing pass and 3 ponds, together with mango trees and other kinds of plants. The servants' quarter is also renovated for employees’ welfare in the Palace (That’s where I stay).

Now the Royal decree from Their Majesties:
Empress Pearl and Empress Marble succeeded the official status of东太后 and 西太后 respectively. Their titles remain as Empress Dowager Pearl and Empress Dowager Marble.
白亲王 will be the second Emperor of the Emerald Throne. Nonetheless, the Empress Dowagers are still the highest sovereignty of the Kingdom until they return to Heaven. Concubine of Grace is now the Empress of Grace.
The Crown Prince and Crown Princess have yet to be chosen from the 4 sons and 3 daughters. From now on the children of the Emperor will be 三阿哥, 四格格 and五格格 and the children of 大公主 will be 大阿哥 (Prince of Gallant) , 二阿哥 (Prince of Valor), 六阿哥 and 七格格. All have the possibility of inheriting the Emerald Throne.

There are many events coming up after the restructuring. There will be a large celebration in October to celebrate the Empress Dowagers’ 两岁大寿. Preparations are now undergoing.

The Family is having a peaceful time. Something strange happen though; the Emperor II and 大公主 are no longer in coats of white but similar to the rest. With everything settled, the Family is recharged and ready for media’s attention again. Look out for more updates when they make public appearance in the near future for a series of celebrations marking their new statuses. The Palace Steward (me) is also given a week off for the hard work done during the restructuring. This time I am going to Taipei ... sounds good? Best employee welfare you can ever find.

Some updates

Unfortunately, one of Princess Grace's kids died. 白亲王 has also moved to the nearby Cloud Manor so that the kids can have more space in the Opal Palace as they grow bigger (very quickly).

大公主 is also recovering well from her mental illness. From a dishevelled Crown Princess, she has regain her neatness and elegance. Her kids are well taken care by her. Recently when I dropped by the Halls, her 2 kids are already as big as Princess Grace's although they are 1 week younger.

Their Majesties have also decided and announced that 白亲王 will be the next successor to the 3rd generation of Emerald throne. As for the 4th generation, the the next crown prince and princess will be chosen from the 7 children from the 2 couples.

3rd and 4th child of the Crown Prince and 大公主

To let 大公主 have more privacy and peace, Prince of Valor and Prince of Gallant have moved into Cloud Manor. However one of 大公主 three newborns was dead. Was it killed by 大公主 again? Nobody knows. No one talked about it anymore. Everyone does not want her condition to worsen. Everyone just hopes that she can take good care of the remaining 2 surviving babies so that the Crown Prince can also have 4 children like 白亲王.

白亲王, Princess Grace and their 4 lovable kids will move either to Opal Palace or the Halls, depending on Their Majesties arrangement, after their kids are old enough to be moved. This family is sooooo loving and caring to each other. They are the envy of the whole Palace amidst tragedies and sad stories. Both their parents take good care of their kids unlike the Crown Prince and his wife. It is a rare sight.

Sudden turn of events

The Crown Prince had passed away... He was only 6 months old.

He had been seriously injured by the Crown Princess due to her pre-and-post natal depression. That was the reason why the Crown Prince and Crown Princess was not available to comment about 白亲王's atrocity. They had been hiding from media's attention. The Crown Princess had been under stress after giving birth to 6 babies, losing 4 of them, dealing with rumors of murdering them and being pregnant again. Knowing that the Crown Princess is dangerous and violent, the Crown Prince did not leave her. He insisted in accompanying her even though he was persistently attacked by her. All he wished was for her to recover and remember him again.
The Crown Princess is taking care of her 3 babies now. The death of the Crown Prince did not seem to affect her at all. However she seems to be looking for something or someone every once awhile. Perhaps she will one day remember their love and his sacrifice.

Their Majesties was shocked by the news. They were not aware of what happened in the Crown Prince and Crown Princess quarters. It is a tragedy in the Palace. The Crown Prince would not have died if the new extension of the Halls is rushed out in time. He would have more places to hide when the Crown Princess went berserk. Although their Majesties did not blame me, I know I am very much responsible. I cause the 生离死别, I cause a joyous occasion to become a funeral within 24 hours.

Taking into consideration that the Crown Prince's children are still young (including Prince of Valor and Prince of Gallent), Empress Pearl and Empress Marble are considering promoting 白亲王 to be the 1st heir of the Emerald Throne. Nothing is confirm. Everyone awaits instructions from Their Majesties. On the other hand, according to rules, the Crown Princess lose her title as the Crown Princess (太子妃). Their Majesties sympathised with her plight and lost. Thus she is given the title 大公主, to be equivalent of the daughter of the Empresses.

Wonderful news for the Royal family!!!

BUT BIG HEADACHE FOR ME!!!

The Royal family is celebrating over night to welcome new members of the family. The Crown Princess had just given birth a few hours ago. Even the number of children she gave birth is not known yet. This news is as fresh as the young ones. Within 1 week, the Royal family has more new members adding to it, strengthening their population. They are no longer facing problems regarding 传宗接代. I am sure this is what the Empress Dowager hoped for too. However she never expected 白亲王 to enter the Palace.

Now ... I am facing the problem of overcrowding in the Palace. Their Majesties have ordered me to solve housing problems of the 2 families ASAP. After some planning, I may need at least 3 more extensions to the Palace when the young ones grow up. One of them is already under going construction and expect to complete very soon. I have to make careful plannings within budget and yet allowing 主子们 live comfortably. BIG headache.

Shocking news!!!

In my years of being Palace Steward, I have not come across something so ridiculous. Concubine of Grace staying in Sky Manor had given birth to 4 babies. This is not the shocking news. The problem is she had not met the Crown Prince after their 1st day in the Palace and she is staying with Concubine of Gentle. Concubine of Gentle is the FATHER!!!

After some investigation by their Majesties, it was found that Concubine of Gentle was actually the brother of the Crown Prince. He had the atrocity to 男办女装 and accompanied Concubine of Grace to the Palace. Both of them were an item when the Crown Prince was ordered to come to the Palace along with 3 wives-to-be. Unwilling to give up on the Concubine, he replaced one of the Ladies and entered the Palace with her. The Crown Prince was devoted to the Crown Princess. He never visited the Sky Manor after he entered the Palace. Therefore no one suspected anything at all.

Their Majesties were furious regarding such outrageous act. Everyone in the Palace was gossiping and guessing what will happen to Concubine of Grace and her four children and of course, the Prince who betrayed the Crown Prince. After much considerations, their Majesties, being benevolent and kind, reinstate the status of the Prince as 白亲王，Concubine of Grace as the wife of the Prince as Princess of Grace and recognize their children as the 4th in line to the Emerald Throne.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess declined to comment about this matter. As the Palace Steward, I can only say Their Majesties have made their decisions and nothing much is said. The accidental family is very grateful and happy that they can be together. However they were held in house arrest for a few weeks as punishment. I guess their Majesties just want to keep them out of media reach so that this matter will die down as soon as possible. I was at the Sky Manor today to survey the area of expansion nearby. Expect more updates of the new royal members after the house arrest period and expansion details.

Rejoice as the Royal Family celebrated and welcome the New Year!

The Empress Pearl and Empress Marble are turning 2 this year October. They are active and healthy. The tumor in Empress Marble has been proven to be benign. Hope they enjoy longevity like 老佛爷。两位皇后娘娘总是那么的慈祥、那么和蔼可亲，和老佛爷刚烈、严肃的态度有天渊之别。但众人都忘了一点，两位皇后娘娘都是老佛爷一手培育成才的。Long Live Their Majesties! 万岁，万岁，万万岁!

Latest glimpses of Their Majesties when they made a trip out of the Palace

Regarding some abnormalities reported last year, the white patches in the Crown Prince and Crown Princess and also Concubine of Gentle are a beautiful miracle. Now their fur has changes from dark to pale grey, close to white, alike the colour of a husky. This has attracted all the media attention because their Highnesses look simply splendid in their new coat. It is confirmed that their ancestors also have similar colours and this is a case of 各代遗传. As for why they turned white after their 5th month, it is unknown. Perhaps it is all part of growing up. They have become the first hamsters in the Palace to have such colour and it is said to symbolize joy and prosperity in the Palace. However Concubine of Grace remains her original colour. Perhaps she did not get the genes.

The bad blood between Prince of Gallant and Prince of Valor is no longer popular news among paparazzi. Although both of them may have some unpleasantness at times and fought but overall things between them are still in control. Prince of Gallant is said to be the one that is always picking up fight with Prince of Valor. Reason? I am not too sure myself. If things should get worse, Their Majesties has already order a decree that the Palace shall expand for the Princes to live separately. They have also ordered that due to their misbehaviour they will have to under go training and education for a longer time; meaning the Crown Prince and Crown Princess will still be the immediate successor to the Emerald Throne instead of the Princes.
Now everyone is wondering if they will become white like their parents or remain the same colour as Empress Pearl and Empress Marble. Perhaps we will find out during their Highnesses 5th month birthday in April.
